Age
The age range of the Muyan and Lyakan Fms are not accurately established. One can only state the following. The characteristic Lyakan limestones and variegated clays of the Kyzylpilyal Fm strikingly resemble analogous facies in the Zarafshan-Gissaro region - in the Ravat Fm and Fandaryin Fm of the Ravat graben and the Kanchoch locality, where their age is no older than the Middle-Late Albian. For schematic stratigraphic representation, it is adjusted in Late Albian.
